Trip Itinerary: A 4-Day Journey into Nature

Our adventure is a carefully planned journey over three days and four nights, starting with an overnight drive from Surabaya. We’ve timed everything to ensure you make the most of every moment, from morning wildlife sightings to stunning sunsets over the ocean.

Day 1: The Midnight Journey to the East

  • 20:00 – 21:00: All participants must arrive at the designated meeting point at Jatim Expo in Surabaya. Our tour guide will greet you, and we’ll have a quick briefing to cover the itinerary and safety guidelines.
  • 21:00 – 00:00: The journey begins! We’ll start our overnight drive to Banyuwangi, a 7-8 hour trip that will take us across the eastern part of Java. This comfortable bus journey allows you to rest and prepare for the exciting days ahead.

Day 2: Coastal Exploration and Turtle Conservation

  • 04:00 – 05:00: We will arrive in Kendal Rejo village, a tranquil base camp at the edge of the national park. The peaceful atmosphere of the village is the perfect start to our adventure.
  • 05:00 – 07:00: We’ll check into our local homestay, rest, and enjoy a traditional breakfast.
  • 07:00 – 09:00: Our first activity is a delightful one: a visit to a local orange farm. You can pick as many fresh oranges as you like and enjoy their sweet taste, a refreshing way to kick off the day’s activities.
  • 09:00 – 10:00: We’ll drive a short distance to Bedul Beach, a beautiful coastal area that serves as the gateway to the Alas Purwo mangroves.
  • 10:00 – 13:00: The real adventure begins with a unique boat ride across a small strait. After the crossing, we’ll start our bicycle trek through the coastal forest. The path winds along the edge of the Alas Purwo National Park, offering breathtaking views and the chance to spot various coastal birds. We’ll make our way to Ngagelan, the park’s official turtle conservation center.
  • 13:00 – 15:00: At Ngagelan, you’ll get an inside look at the vital work being done to protect endangered sea turtles. The center collects eggs laid on nearby beaches and incubates them in a protected area. You’ll learn about the different species of turtles that nest here and, if you’re lucky, you might even witness a turtle hatching or a release of baby turtles into the sea.
  • 15:00 – 18:00: We’ll begin our bicycle ride back to Bedul Beach, a journey timed to coincide with the golden hour. As the sun sets, the sky will be painted with vibrant colors, creating a beautiful backdrop for your ride.

This cave is known for its natural beauty and a spiritual aura that has made it a favorite spot for meditation. After exploring the cave, we’ll trek back to Pancur.
  • 11:00 – 12:00: We’ll have lunch and a short rest at Pancur Beach.
