Itinerary: Your 3-Day Adventure
Day 1: Surabaya to Alas Purwo
We will pick you up from a designated location in Surabaya to begin your journey to Banyuwangi. The drive takes approximately 8 hours, and we encourage you to use this time to rest and relax in our comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. We will arrive in a village near Alas Purwo National Park in the early morning.
Day 2: Explore Alas Purwo National Park (B, L, D)
We will arrive at the homestay around 5:00 AM, where you’ll have a chance to check in, rest, and enjoy a warm breakfast. At 6:00 AM, our adventure into the national park begins.
1. Bedul Beach & Ngagelan Turtle Conservation: We’ll start at Bedul Beach, where we’ll cross a small bay by boat. From there, an off-road vehicle (FWD) will take us to Ngagelan Beach. Here, you’ll visit the turtle conservation center, a crucial sanctuary for these magnificent creatures.
2. Pancur Beach & Istana Cave: Our off-road journey continues for another 30 minutes to Pancur Beach. This lively beach is the gateway to the jungle. From here, we’ll trek for about 1 km to the mysterious Istana Cave, a place often used for spiritual reflection. After our trek, we’ll return to Pancur Beach for a well-deserved lunch and a short break.
3. G-Land Plengkung: Next, we head to the world-famous Plengkung Beach, also known as G-Land. From May to October, the waves here can reach heights of 6-7 meters, making it a paradise for professional surfers. While we might not be hitting the waves ourselves, we can enjoy the incredible spectacle from a distance with binoculars, watching the pros in action.
4. Sadengan Savanna & Luhur Giri Salaka Temple: In the afternoon, we’ll travel to Sadengan, a natural savanna within the park. This is a prime spot for wildlife viewing, where you may see Javanese wild bulls, deer, peacocks, and other native species. Before it gets dark, we’ll visit the sacred Hindu temple of Luhur Giri Salaka, a site of deep spiritual significance. From here, we’ll return to our homestay for dinner and a free evening.
Day 3: Agro-Tourism & Return to Surabaya (B, L)
We start the day with a unique local experience.
1. Agro-Tour: In the early morning, we’ll visit a local farm to enjoy a fresh fruit-picking tour. You can savor juicy oranges directly from the tree and even buy some to take home as a souvenir.
2. Maria Cave & Departure: After a final breakfast at the homestay and checking out, we’ll visit the popular and historic Maria Cave, a beautiful and unique church. After documenting our visit, we’ll begin our journey back to Surabaya, arriving at approximately 7:00 PM.
The tour program ends here, leaving you with incredible memories of East Java’s hidden gems.
