Your adventure begins with a 13-14 hour overnight train journey from Jakarta to Surabaya. This allows you to rest and arrive refreshed for the exciting days ahead.

You’ll visit iconic landmarks like the Heroes Monument and Heroes Museum and explore the unique House of Sampoerna, a live museum dedicated to the art of cigarette production.
- Explore Mount Bromo: A legendary volcano located within the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. You’ll witness one of the most beautiful sunrises in the world from Penanjakan, explore the vast Sea of Sands, and see the stunning Teletubbies Hill (Savana) and the ancient Pure Poten temple.
- Explore Madakaripura Waterfall A historic and majestic waterfall located near Mount Bromo. It is said to have been the meditation spot of Gajah Mada, the prime minister of the Majapahit kingdom. Prepare to be awed by this powerful and serene natural wonder.
Trip Itinerary
Day 1 – Journey to Surabaya
- 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: All participants must gather at the meeting point: Pasar Senen Train Station, Jakarta. We’ll handle the briefing and ticket exchange before boarding.
- 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM: The Kertajaya economy class train will depart, beginning our 13-14 hour journey to Surabaya.
Day 2 – Surabaya and Madakaripura (Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner)
- 3:30 AM – 4:00 AM: We’ll arrive at Pasar Turi Surabaya Train Station. Take a quick break while we get the vehicle ready for our city tour.
- 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM: Enjoy breakfast to fuel up for the day.
- 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Our Surabaya City Tour begins. We’ll visit the Heroes Monument and Museum to learn about Indonesia’s history of struggle and visit the House of Sampoerna to see how cigarettes are traditionally made. If time permits, we’ll make a quick stop at Kenjeran Park.
- 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM: We will depart for the slopes of Mount Bromo via Probolinggo. The drive takes about 3-4 hours, and we’ll have lunch on the way.
- 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM: We will arrive at the legendary Madakaripura Waterfall. Get ready for a 20-minute walk to reach this towering cascade. Remember to wear proper shoes, as the path is often wet and slippery.
- 5:00 PM – 5:30 PM: We’ll drive to our hotel at the foot of Mount Bromo, check in, and get some rest.
- 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Free time.
- 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Dinner at a nearby local restaurant.
- 8:00 PM – 12:00 AM: Free time. We recommend getting plenty of rest for the early morning trek.
Day 3 – Mount Bromo & Return to Surabaya (Breakfast)
- 2:00 AM – 2:30 AM: Time to wake up and prepare for the Bromo exploration.
- 2:30 AM – 3:30 AM: A Hardtop Jeep will pick us up from the hotel and take us to Penanjakan to witness the spectacular sunrise.
- 3:30 AM – 6:00 AM: We will watch the incredible Mount Bromo sunrise, which illuminates the vast Sea of Sands and the majestic layered mountains of the national park.
- 6:30 AM – 8:00 AM: After the sunrise, we’ll visit the famous Savana, often called Teletubbies Hill, known for its beautiful, rolling landscape.
- 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM: We’ll return to the hotel for breakfast and some free time.
- 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM: Check out from the hotel and head back to Surabaya.
- 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM: The train will depart from Pasar Turi Surabaya Train Station, beginning our return journey to Jakarta.
Day 4 – Back to Jakarta
- 3:00 AM – 4:00 AM: We will arrive at Pasar Senen Train Station, concluding our trip.
Trip Costs and Details
- Participation Cost: IDR 740,000 per person.
- Train Tickets: Not included. The total cost for a round-trip Kertajaya economy ticket, including administration fees, is approximately IDR 125,000. We can help you with the booking.
- Deposit: A 50% deposit (IDR 370,000) is required upon registration. This deposit is non-refundable if you cancel.
- Additional Fee: An extra IDR 75,000 is required for non-Indonesian citizens to cover ticket adjustments.
- Group Size: The minimum group size is 10 participants, with a maximum of 22. If the minimum is not met, the trip may be canceled or the price adjusted.
- Accommodation: One night at the Sangdimur Hotel at the foot of Mount Bromo. Rooms are typically shared by three people.
- Meeting Point: Pasar Senen Train Station, Jakarta, at 1:00 PM. Please be on time!
