Detailed Itinerary: Explore Vietnam in 3 Days
Day 1: Arrival and Hanoi City Tour (L|D)
Your adventure begins the moment you land at Noi Bai Airport (HAN). Our team will greet you and provide a private transfer to your hotel for a smooth check-in. Take some time to rest and get ready for an exciting afternoon.
At midday, we’ll pick you up for an authentic Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant.
The Hanoi City Tour kicks off after lunch. You’ll visit some of the city’s most cherished landmarks:
- Hoan Kiem Lake: The “Lake of the Restored Sword,” a peaceful oasis in the city center.
- Tran Quoc Pagoda: One of the oldest Buddhist temples in Hanoi, located on a small island in West Lake.
- Presidential Palace and One Pillar Pagoda: Iconic symbols of Vietnam’s political history.
- Temple of Literature: The country’s first university, a beautiful example of traditional Vietnamese architecture and a testament to its educational heritage.
We’ll return to your hotel around 4:00 PM for a break. In the evening, get ready for a delicious dinner featuring a variety of traditional Vietnamese dishes. Afterwards, we can stop for some local street food before heading back to the hotel for a well-deserved rest.
Note: The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum complex is closed on Mondays and Fridays. A formal dress code is recommended for visitors. The possibility of visiting the mausoleum depends on your arrival time.
Day 2: Hoa Lu and Tamcoc Exploration (B|L|D)
Get ready for an incredible day trip out of the city! After an 8:00 AM hotel pickup, we’ll drive south towards Hoa Lu and Tamcoc, passing by vibrant green rice paddies and charming rural villages.
- Hoa Lu: After a two-hour drive, we’ll arrive at the ancient capital of Vietnam from the 11th century. Here, you’ll visit the Dinh & Le Dynasty Temples, where you’ll learn about Vietnam’s history and its struggles with China. Enjoy the fresh air and stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
After a satisfying lunch, we will head to Tamcoc, famous for its spectacular limestone karsts, often called “Halong Bay on land.”
- Tamcoc Boat Trip: Board a traditional small boat and be rowed along a tranquil canal. The journey will take you through stunning rice fields and past towering mountains on both sides. You’ll also glide through three majestic caves: “Hang Ca,” “Hang 2,” and “Hang 3.” This peaceful journey is the highlight of the day.
Around 3:00 PM, the boat trip concludes, and we will begin our drive back to Hanoi. Upon arrival, you’ll have free time before we meet for dinner.
Day 3: Departure from Hanoi (B)
Enjoy your final breakfast at the hotel. At the scheduled time, our private car will pick you up and transfer you directly to Noi Bai International Airport for your departure, bringing this memorable tour to a close.
