Day 1: Arrival & Ha Long Bay Cruise (L|D)
Your adventure begins the moment you land at Noi Bai Airport (HAN). Our guide and private car will be waiting to greet you for a scenic drive to the world-renowned Ha Long Bay. The 2.5-hour journey will give you a glimpse of the Vietnamese countryside before we arrive at the cruise port.
After a brief welcome at the port, you’ll board a luxurious 3-star junk boat. A refreshing welcome drink and a smooth check-in process will get you settled into your private suite cabin. As we set sail, a magnificent lunch will be served on board, featuring a delectable array of fresh seafood and local delicacies.
The afternoon is dedicated to exploring the bay’s pristine scenery. We’ll cruise through the thousands of limestone karsts and islets, each with its own unique shape and story. Around 11:00 AM, we’ll return to Ha Long City. After a final farewell to your cruise crew, a car will take you to a local restaurant for a satisfying lunch.
After lunch, we’ll embark on a journey to Ninh Binh, often called “Ha Long Bay on land” for its stunning landscape of limestone mountains rising from the rice fields. The approximately 5-hour drive is a scenic one, passing through rural villages and vast paddy fields. Upon arrival in Ninh Binh, we’ll check into your hotel, where you can rest and freshen up before dinner. A delicious evening meal will be served at a local restaurant, giving you a taste of the regional cuisine before you spend a comfortable night in Ninh Binh.
Day 3: Hoa Lu, Tamcoc & Return to Hanoi (B|L|D)
Today, you’ll delve into Vietnam’s ancient history and natural beauty. After a nourishing breakfast, we’ll head out for our day trip.
Our first stop is Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam during the 10th and 11th centuries. You’ll visit the Dinh and Le Dynasty Temples, learning about the country’s first rulers and the historical battles with China. The site is peaceful, surrounded by lush mountains and tranquil rice paddies, offering a sense of stepping back in time.
After lunch, we’ll drive to Tamcoc, where your breathtaking boat trip awaits. Board a small, traditional sampan boat and be rowed along a serene river that winds through towering limestone karsts. The journey takes you through vibrant green rice fields and into three beautiful caves: Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba.
