How to Get Pramuka Island

Based on the regular operational routes I use, there are two primary ways to reach the island

• From SUNDA KELAPA: Takes about 90 minutes by speedboat (daily departures). This is the option I recommend if you prioritize speed, comfort, and efficiency.
• From Kali Adem (Muara Angke): Takes about 2.5 – 3 hours by traditional wooden boat or ferry (Budget option). Back to Jakarta every 10AM. Only good for who life on the island.

Must-Try Activities on Pramuka Island

Out of all the spots I’ve explored with guests over the years, these are the top experiences I always recommend:

1. Hawksbill Turtle Sanctuary: Visit the local conservation center to see how Hawksbill turtles are protected and released back into the wild. It’s an educational highlight for travelers of all ages.
2. Mangrove Trekking: Stroll along the wooden boardwalk through the dense mangrove forest. It’s a peaceful, shady spot that offers great opportunities for photos.
3. Snorkeling & Island Hopping: I usually arrange local boat trips for my groups to visit nearby snorkeling spots like Semak Daun Island or Air Island. The water is clear, and the coral reefs are teeming with tropical fish.
4. Local Seafood Dining: Enjoy fresh seafood at the local eateries near the dock. The fish is caught daily by local fishermen, cooked fresh, and served at very affordable prices.
