Tourists typically begin their ascent early in the morning to a viewpoint, often Penanjakan, to witness the stunning moment of sunrise amidst the mountains and the active Bromo crater. Penanjakan is widely considered the perfect spot to enjoy this spectacle. If you’re lucky, as you descend from the mountain, you might even witness a magnificent rainbow stretching above the Sea of Sand, nestled between the cliffs that surround the area.
