Itinerary
Day 1: Yogyakarta – Dieng
We will pick you up from your hotel in Yogyakarta in the morning and drive to Dieng in Wonosobo by a private tourism-standard vehicle. This will take approximately 3.5 hours until we arrive at the Dieng Plateau.
Our first destination is the Arjuna Temple complex. After exploring the area, we will have a short break and lunch at a local restaurant.
Next, we’ll visit Sikidang Crater, one of the active volcanic craters on the Dieng Plateau. Afterward, we’ll head to the Dieng Plateau Theater to watch a documentary about Dieng.
Before late afternoon, we will check into a homestay, have a rest, and then dinner will be served at the homestay. After dinner, you’ll have free time to enjoy the evening and rest overnight in Dieng Plateau.
Day 2: Explore Dieng Plateau
We will wake you up early at 03:00 AM to head towards Sikunir Hill. Upon arrival, we will trek for about 30 minutes to reach the peak. One of the most awaited moments in Dieng is enjoying the “Golden Sunrise” from Sikunir Hill. The sunrise here is truly amazing with a beautiful landscape as a backdrop.
On the way back to the homestay, we will stop at Cebong Lake to enjoy the view. Upon arrival at the homestay, we will have a short break and breakfast. Next, we will check out.
From our homestay, we will drive to Telaga Warna, a beautiful lake that appears to change color when illuminated. We will also visit Telaga Pengilon and Goa Alam.
When everything is done, we will go to Padang Tieng to enjoy the experience of living “on the land above the clouds.”
This marks the end of our Dieng Plateau exploration. After all the exploration is complete, we will visit a local shop to buy typical souvenirs and snacks from Wonosobo and then have lunch at a local restaurant.
From Dieng in Wonosobo, we will drive back to Yogyakarta. We will arrive in Yogyakarta before nightfall, concluding the entire tour.
