The Scuba Diving Journey: A Step-by-Step Guide
Our Scuba Diving School – Jakarta curriculum is divided into three distinct phases to ensure you build a strong foundation in both theory and practice.
Phase 1: Knowledge Development (2x Material Class)
Your journey begins in the classroom. Our two material classes are designed to introduce you to the fundamental principles of scuba diving. You will learn about:
- Dive Physics and Physiology: Understand how your body reacts to the underwater environment, the effects of pressure, and how to manage them safely.
- Diving Equipment: Get to know the function of each piece of equipment, from your regulator to your buoyancy control device (BCD), and how to properly assemble and care for them.

Phase 2: Confined Water Training (2x Pool Session)

- Mask and Regulator Skills: Practice clearing a flooded mask, retrieving a dropped regulator, and breathing from an alternate air source.

- Equipment Management: Master the process of entering and exiting the water, as well as correctly using all your gear.

Phase 3: Open Water Examination (2D1N Trip to Pari Island)
The culmination of your training is the thrilling two-day, one-night trip to Pari Island in the beautiful Thousand Islands archipelago. This is where you’ll apply all the skills you’ve learned in a real-world, open-water setting.
- The Trip: The package includes round-trip transportation, a comfortable homestay with air conditioning, and a diving boat for all your open-water activities.
- The Dives: You will complete four open-water dives under the close supervision of your instructor. These dives are designed to be a fun and stress-free way to demonstrate your skills. You’ll perform a few exercises from your pool sessions in the open water and then have plenty of time to explore the underwater environment. Pari Island offers a gentle introduction to diving, with a variety of marine life and beautiful corals.
- Certification: Upon successful completion of your four dives and the final exam, you will officially be a certified SSI Open Water Diver!
