Here are the important notes for prospective passengers, including common payment methods on similar liveaboard trips:

Important Notes for Future KLM Seamorepapua Passengers
We are thrilled to welcome you aboard KLM Seamorepapua for an unforgettable adventure in Indonesian waters! To ensure your trip is smooth and enjoyable, please take note of the following important information:
1. Essential Document Preparation:
Please ensure your passport has at least 6 months of validity beyond your planned return date.
Prepare both physical and digital copies of all important documents such as your passport, flight tickets, diving certification (C-card), and travel and dive insurance documents. This will be very helpful in case of loss or emergency.
2. Travel and Dive Insurance:
Mandatory: Travel insurance and dive insurance are not included in the trip price, and it is your responsibility to have them before departure. Please ensure your insurance policy covers diving activities and emergency medical evacuation.
3. Additional Costs and Onboard Payments:
National Park & Port Fees: Please note there is a Marine Park Fee and Harbor Fee of USD 200 per person that is not included in the trip price. This fee is typically paid in cash at the beginning of the trip.
Nitrox & Dive Gear Rental: If you plan to use Nitrox or rent diving equipment, these are additional costs not included in the package. Please inform us of your needs in advance so arrangements can be made.
Personal Expenses: Expenses such as laundry, alcoholic beverages, and other personal expenditures are also not included in the price.
4. Common Payment Methods (for additional/onboard costs):
On liveaboard trips of this kind, you may encounter several payment methods for the additional costs mentioned above:
Cash (Indonesian Rupiah – IDR and United States Dollar – USD):
It is highly recommended to bring cash in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) for smaller personal expenses or purchases on land.
Some fees, like the Marine Park Fee, may be requested in United States Dollars (USD). Ensure you have smaller denominations as well.
Credit Card (Visa/MasterCard):
Some boats may accept credit card payments for onboard costs, however, Wi-Fi coverage (Starlink) on board is limited, meaning credit card transactions may not always be possible or may be slow.
Always have a cash alternative ready if you plan to use a credit card.
There might be an additional surcharge for credit card payments.
Bank Transfer (Prior to Departure):
For dive gear rental or Nitrox that you have confirmed in advance, payment might be requested via bank transfer prior to departure. Please confirm this with the boat operator.
Important Payment Advice:
Carry Enough Cash: This is the most secure and widely accepted payment method in remote areas.
Notify Your Bank: Inform your bank about your travel plans to Indonesia to avoid card blockages due to unusual activity.
Receipts: Always ask for receipts or proof of payment for all transactions on the boat.
5. Communication:
Onboard Wi-Fi (Starlink) is available, but coverage is limited. Do not rely on a stable connection for work or critical communication. Enjoy the digital detox!
6. Health & Safety:
Please inform the boat crew of any food allergies or medical conditions you have before departure.
The boat is equipped with basic first aid kits and 100% oxygen.
