Salt Simeulue overlooks Dylan’s Right, one of Simeulue’s best waves. If you’re looking to surf a fantastic mechanical and perfect right-hander then there’s no better accommodation than Salt.

Five a/c bungalows sit along 1.5 hectares with oceanfront panoramic views and directly overlook this magical wave. Sit back relax and watch the waves roll by as you choose the perfect time to surf and at the end of a hard days surfing, enjoy one of Pulau Simeulues world famous sunsets.

The areas other 10+ waves can be easily accessed by motorbike. Salt is best suited for the tube hungry that want the best view of the best wave in Simeulue. The restaurant is ideally located in front of the take-off zone so you can watch the waves all day long. Large healthy portions will be served for each meal and will consist of mainly local fresh produce (fish, rice and vegetables) as well a twist of first world flavors.

Simeulue is the uncrowded tourist destination known by its intermediate wave in Sumatra, 15 minutes from the airport. The island earlier famous as a tourist area as other surfing destination Nias and Mentawai.

Hostel

Guests staying at Salt Simeulue will have direct access to Dylans right which breaks directly in front of the bungalows and restaurant.

No other camp can compete with these views or the accessibility to Dylan’s Right.

For those looking to explore the coastline, guests can rent a scooter (with surfboard racks) during their stay (approx. $4/day).

The surf guides (available April-October) will be happy to direct you to the majority of the other waves that can be reached by using the coastal road.

There are around a dozen named waves within a 60-minute drive and a few other waves do require a boat trip that can also be arranged when staying at the camp.
